I am honored to be inducted into the National Honor Society. This validates all of my academic achievements. My academic performance would be maintained, and I would also benefit from being able to achieve further school goals. Being accepted to NHS was a goal I set in middle school. It means a lot to my personal life. Leadership, service and character are the four tenets for National Honor Society. These values are what I live by in my day.

Leadership is to me being able to take pride in the work you do for a team or group. Leaders must be an example to others and show concern for the cause. To reach your potential, you must have a positive mentality and focus. This will help others to see that you are ready to set a path for them. I have seen people in my life lose hope. A few months back, my team lost by a significant amount and my teammates were not interested in being there anymore due to the fact that we were losing. I decided to take control of my life and give a boost to my team by motivating them. When I do something that I don’t think will go well, I apply the same mindset and confidence to my daily life. Being a leader means being able to see the situation and having the confidence to achieve your goals. The next principle is service. For me, service means helping people, families, associations, or groups to achieve a level of happiness and satisfaction in their lives. Scholars and Athetes Serving Others, also known as SASO, is my volunteer group. The group does various events, including helping those in need and making people smile. It is so heartwarming to meet children who are willing to volunteer at your event. It’s a great way for you to give back and make a difference in your community. Next, character is the most important tenet. My view is that character comes from believing in yourself, not being influenced by others. You may be mocked by others for doing something you find odd or bizarre, but it doesn’t matter. To be authentic, you have to be who you are and not allow others to mold your character. While I may do things that I think are strange, I don’t allow that to define me. You can follow the crowd sometimes, but it’s OK to not like what others are doing. If that happens, you need to recognize that and make the right decision. Your character will be shaped by your decisions and how you trust yourself. This is the last tenet of Scholarship. Personally, this tenet is the most important. Scholarship is about achieving outstanding grades by hard work and dedication. If you are not willing to put in effort, your chances of success in life are lower. Your future success will depend on how focused you are and how hard you work. To be able to apply for great programs like the National Honors Society, I do my best to maintain a high grade average. I’ve always tried to get into a great college so that I won’t have financial problems in the near future. That means I focus on my grades and pay attention to the things that can help me in the long-term. For many people, scholarship is a must-have for a bright future. I have found that all of these words have had a significant impact on my life. The program has given me the inspiration and motivation to become the best version of myself. To be successful in the future, I will work hard and give my time to as many people as possible.
